About Us

LVP Eye Innovations

The Innovation arm at LVPEI has been making long-term investments in a variety of technologies and ideas that have the potential to improve eye care service delivery, access, or even the cost of eye care. The three key priority areas remain Product Innovation, Product Re-engineering, and Incubation Support.

Innovation

We invest in building low-cost, high-quality innovations that are bridging the gaps between healthcare centers and low resource areas through self-contained and low-cost alternatives. These solutions are tested and deployed acrossthe healthcare process – diagnosis, treatment, management and rehabilitation.

Re-engineering

The re-engineering team has developed an array of low-cost, homegrown alternatives that fill a critical supply chain gap—and help save substantial costs. They have helped address damage to expensive or difficult-to-procure parts, which increases delays and puts key equipment out of use in LVPEI’s busy clinics.

Incubation support

The LVPEI BioNest serves as the premier hospital-based incubator for potential eye care technologies. We partner with the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) to support several start-ups in the space.
