Spread across the quaternary and tertiary care centres for LVPEI, the Child Sight Institute‘s primary objective is ‘no child in need must be deprived of essential
eye care services’. We have 12 experienced faculty spread across our centres offering high-quality eye care for kids with vision loss.
One of the key strengths of the Child Sight Institute is our strong clinical experience, right from newborns to late teens. Our research interests cover retinopathy of prematurity, congenital disorders, myopia and refractive errors, amblyopia (squint), and transplantation techniques.
We are also one of the largest training centres for pediatric specialists in the world. We offer international fellowships, including to low- and middle-income countries, taking our expertise to the many who cannot visit us. In addition, we have deep investments in appropriate technologies and the new-generation AI and machine learning tools that help us build predictive models for patient outcomes.
