Tackling this complex group of conditions, the Kalathur Venugopal Reddy Glaucoma Institute will help build capacity and a deeper understanding of this condition and its impact on under-served populations. We have 18 faculty spread across our centres offering high-quality eye care.
One of the key strengths of the Glaucoma Institute is our strong basic and clinical research legacy. Our research is interested in shaping modern understanding of glaucomatous diseases, especially in the context of childhood glaucomas, secondary angle-closure glaucoma, and complex surgical management.
We are also one of the largest training centres for glaucoma specialists in the world. We offer international fellowships, including to low- and middle-income countries, taking our expertise to the many who cannot visit us. In addition, we have deep investments in appropriate technologies and the new-generation AI and machine learning tools that help us build predictive models for patient outcomes.
