Service delivery programmes & projects
GPR ICARE service delivery initiatives range from large-scale school screening programs for children and infants to specialized geriatric services like the “Silver Sight Initiative” for the elderly. Key projects utilize innovative technology and mobile diagnostic units, such as the “Pashyantu” van and technology-enabled “Futuristic Vision Centres,” to bridge the gap between rural populations and specialized medical care.
Supported by various global partners, these programs address major causes of avoidable blindness—such as cataracts, refractive errors, and diabetic retinopathy—through community-based screenings, surgical interventions, and rehabilitation services, all provided at no cost to those in need.
