31st Annual Meeting of the Indian Eye Research Group – ARVO India

Our researchers made a remarkable mark at the 31st Annual Meeting of the Indian Eye Research Group – ARVO India, held at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, bringing home multiple awards and recognitions across diverse areas of vision science.
– Jyotirmayee Talapatra, mentored by Dr Mamatha Reddy, received the Travel Award and the Best Poster Presentation Award for her work titled ‘Deciphering Cross-Regulation Between MYCN Oncogene and TET1 Protein in Human Retinoblastoma.’
– Saurabh Kumar, mentored by Dr Inderjeet Kaur, was honoured with both the Travel Fellowship Award and the Young Investigator Award for his research on ‘Potential Role of Long Noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in Predicting the Development and Progression of Diabetic Retinopathy.’
– Sandhya R Banja, mentored by Dr Soumyava Basu, won 1st Prize for Best Poster Presentation for her study on ‘Resident Memory T-cells in the Eye: Prognostic Biomarkers in Sight-Threatening Uveitis?’
– Srijia Kundu, mentored by Dr Sanhita Roy, received the Best Poster Presentation Award for her in-vitro study titled ‘Understanding the Role of Oxidative Stress in the Pathogenesis of Mucormycosis.’
– Pallavi Goel, mentored by Dr Inderjeet Kaur, was awarded Best Poster Presentation for her work on ‘Potential Role of Long Noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) for Predicting the Development and Progression of Diabetic Retinopathy.’
