Biography
Dr Karthik Bhushan did his Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore, followed by a postgraduate diploma in clinical research from Hyderabad. He has over 12 years of extensive experience in handling cases of pediatric disabilities. He was associated with the Blue Cross Society in Singapore for 2 years before joining LVPEI’s Dr PRK Prasad Centre for Rehabilitation of Blind and Visually Impaired in 2010.
His current role involves clinical management of all kinds of childhood disabilities and injuries, like cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, sensory integration, and neuroglial diagnosis. Right from basic examination and assessment to therapeutic exercises (neuro developmental therapy), prescribing orthotic and assistive devices, he takes care of everything.
Dr Karthik is actively involved in LVPEI’s Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) project in the rural areas of Adilabad district, Telangana. He has participated in various workshops and conferences on children with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities.
