Biography
Mamatha Reddy received her PhD from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Later, she did a postdoctoral fellowship in Leukemia research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston. Her research at L V Prasad Eye Institute focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of retinoblastoma development and identification of novel drug targets. Her research is funded by the Department of Biotechnology and the Indian Council of Medical Research, Govt. of India.
Dr Reddy is a recipient of the Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award from the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. She serves as a reviewer for various funding agencies in India as well as several peer-reviewed journals. She is also a member of the Institutional Ethics Committee for human studies and serves as a chairperson for the Scientific Research Committee at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Bhubaneswar.
